It gives me great pleasure to share with you the news that the Board of Directors of Singleton Moms, a local non-profit organization providing resources for single mothers with cancer, has selected you to receive the first annual Mending Hands Award for your dedicated and compassionate work with cancer-stricken, single mothers in our community.

You were chosen from many oncologists in the Phoenix metropolitan area because of your exemplary efforts and sympathetic nature with patients. A number of these women, all single moms with cancer, placed your name in nomination.

The Mending Hands Award will be presented at the inaugural Singleton Moms’ Guys and Dolls Ball scheduled for Saturday, December 5, 2009 at the Scottsdale Resort and Conference Center. The event begins with a reception and silent auction at 6:00 pm followed by dinner and dancing at 7:00 pm. We would like to invite both you and a guest to this event at which time your award will be presented to you by one of our Singleton Moms.

Your patients are “our moms” and we are proud to be able to work together toward each of their recoveries. We look forward to hearing from you regarding your availability to attend our celebratory event and congratulations on being the first ever recipient of the Singleton Moms’ Mending Hands Award.
