
Dr. Ondreyco was born in Cleveland,Ohio and then lived in Elyria, Ohio. She attended Ohio State University and graduated in 1972 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Microbiology. She was a member of the Ohio State Women’s Swim Team and was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority.
She then attended Ohio State Medical School graduating in 1975.She received the Award for Outstanding Achievement in Psychiatry upon graduation. She completed her Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas in 1978. Following this she completed a fellowship in Hematology and Oncology in Salt Lake City Utah at the University of Utah Medical Center. After her fellowship she searched around the country and fell in love with Phoenix. In 1980 she opened her practice of Hematology and Oncology. This practice later became known as Palo Verde Hematology. She is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Oncology.
Dr. Ondreyco enjoys many outdoor activities including snow skiing and boating but her greatest love is fishing. Mounted on the wall at the Thunderbird Office is a 72 pound Alaskan King Salmon she caught on her honeymoon .
In the Redbook Magazine 2001 article “Breast Cancer: News that could Save Your Life” she was named a top Breast Cancer Doctor in America. She was also listed in The Ladies Home Journal article “The Best Doctors for Women” April 2002. She has was listed as one of Phoenix Magazine’s Top Docs 2005. She was also listed in “Best Doctors in America 2005-2006 and Guide to America’s Top Physicians 2004-2005 and 2006. She has served as Vice Chief of Staff at Maryvale Hospital as well as Chief of Medicine at Maryvale Hospital. She founded the Phoenix Oncology Society in 1981 and was one of the founding members of The Arizona Clinical Oncology Society.
She has special expertise are Breast Cancer, Prostate Cancer and Hypercoaguable States.
